“I joined the family business in 1975 following my graduation from Virginia Tech. Initially I got to work with my grandfather, the agency founder, as well as my uncle and my dad. Over the years I have witnessed many changes in both our agency as well as the insurance industry as a whole. The one  constant however has been the opportunity to be of service to my community. My wife Patsy and I have four grown children and four grandchildren.

Today I am the principal owner and manager of the firm.  I am licensed for all lines of insurance though I tend to focus most of my time on the personal account needs of families. This includes home, auto, life and health products. I received the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation in 1987 and am one of only a handful of designees in Central and Southside Virginia.

This agency was started with the motto “Insurance that Satisfies” and that is the approach we continue to take. Being an independent agency means we can and do represent multiple insurance companies. This allows us to shop our clients’ accounts looking for exactly the very best match of needs as well as price. I feel a sense of satisfaction when I am able to provide the protection needed to our clients at an affordable price. To me that is the definition of “Service that Satisfies”.

I enjoy what I do and really like that this is a people business. I get to meet all types of people from all backgrounds of life. There is never a dull day in the insurance industry and that makes it both challenging as well as rewarding. I hope everyone will call and give me an opportunity to handle their every insurance need.”

I have dedicated my life to the insurance industry and feel a great deal of dedication to this agency and the clients we serve. “I have been a resident of Cumberland County my entire life and have raised two wonderful children, Lindsey and Bradley. I currently reside near Cumberland Courthouse with my husband Paul.

My start in the insurance business was in 1981 shortly after graduating from high school. Fortunately I had opportunities to experience working for both large insurance companies as well as small, local agencies. Currently I hold licenses as both a Personal & Commercial Lines Agent and as a Life & Health Agent. Having joined W.A. Watson & Sons Insurance in September of 2000 my co-workers are like another family, and I could not ask for a better place to work.

Insurance is a field that I enjoy working in because I am able to learn something new every day, and with every customer comes a new challenge. I take pride in my work, and aim to ensure that all customers have the coverage that they need. Please stop by our office or call if I am able to assist with any of your insurance needs.”

I was born and raised in Farmville by my parents, Archie and Cecilia Dunkley, and now reside in Keysville, Virginia with my husband and five sons.

Through previous employment I was able to gain some insurance related experience and felt that it was something that I should further pursue. I have received my licenses in both Life and Health in 2005 and Property and Casualty in 2010. I have now been in the insurance business for 13 years.

Working at W.A. Watson has been a valuable learning experience and feels like working with family. I enjoy that I am able to assist people every
day in making good decisions that will affect their lives in a positive way.

I take great pride in customer service and would love to help satisfy your insurance needs – please stop by our office or call if I am able to assist you in any way!

Born in Roanoke and raised in Christiansburg in the mountains of Southwestern Virginia, I attended Radford University and obtained a degree in Finance and Economics in 2004. After marrying my beautiful wife we moved to Richmond where I began a career as a claims adjuster. After nearly a decade in claims I elected to seek employment with a local agency in 2012 so that I would have the opportunity to work closer with people.

I greatly enjoy the different aspects and challenges that managing people’s insurance brings. I have learned and continue to learn a great deal about the insurance needs of both individuals and businesses alike.

I currently reside in the Richmond Metro area with my wife and two children and when I’m not at work I enjoy nothing more than being with my family.
